Promotional Products Color Considerations for Your Next Marketing Campaign

When it comes to promotional products, it often seems like companies can take any item in the world, emblazon it with their name and logo, and like magic, have created a promotional product to advertise their brand to potential consumers. But there are several important factors to consider when choosing the right color decoration for the promotional products used in your marketing campaigns. You need to think about who will be receiving your product and the image your company wants to project.

Most promotional products can be printed in a range of colors, and the color of the item, and the corresponding color of the imprint, are both very important considerations. If your company already has a designated color for its logo, then make sure it corresponds well to the color of the product. If you do not already have a specific color, then you should consider the products’ end user as a point of reference. If your promotional products are to be given to children or a generally younger audience, you may want to choose brighter, bolder colors, as they tend to evoke feelings of energy and excitement to which these types of recipients are usually drawn. For an older target audience, stick to more somber colors like blues and grays. Also be aware of the standard associations people have with regard to color. For example, the color red may sometimes be associated with warning or danger, whereas light shades of blue are considered to evoke feelings of calmness and serenity.
