Promotional Products Headwear at the Olympics

While tuning in to the Winter Olympics these last few weeks, I have noticed a strange phenomenon- unique hats and promotional products have been abundant in the event stands. Yesterday I spotted a man wearing what looked like a plush moose hat, obviously promoting his favorite team/country. I am sure that there was an imprint somewhere on the hat stating the correlation between the headwear and a team, but the camera was too far to capture the true meaning. Crazy wearable promotional products are one way to make sure your brand gets the attention you deserve.

Host a Design Contest with Promotional Products Like T-Shirts

A popular way to encourage participation from the community is to hold a design contest for t-shirt or other apparel promotional products. Many road races and beautification projects utilize this creative idea to engage participants and their families in the planning of local non-profit events, but t-shirt design contests could be employed for any number of purposes. Kids, especially, enjoy competing to see their artwork on the clothing of event attendees, and the exposure that can be obtained by decorating promotional products
with your brand name, plus a graphic created by a local citizen, is immense.

Promotional Products to Customize Unique Home Offices

Many workplaces now allow employees to telecommute instead of coming into the office daily, and there are many promotional products for those telecommuters to use in their homes that will make them feel like vital parts of their company. For example, an office could give telecommuters personalized mousepads, featuring the name of the company, as well as the individual’s name and title. That way, even though the person may not be physically present in the workplace, the promotional products can remind them of their employer constantly, thereby keeping them motivated to work hard during business hours.

Promotional Products to Display Menu Information

Today I decided to pick up a sandwich for lunch and was presented with a great example of promotional products in action. This particular eatery distributes custom cups imprinted with the nutrition information of some of their menu options. I know of several other restaurants that have taken similar actions to educate their clientele about their offerings through innovative marketing efforts, such as carryout bags decorated with graphics and text related to special appetizers or limited edition alcoholic beverages. Be cognizant of multi-purpose promotional products related to food and drinks the next time you dine out!

Promotional Products at Garage Sales

While promotional products may remain in the hands of your organization’s desired recipients for long periods of time, it is likely that the items will make their way into the lives of other people than you had intended. Hopefully the original owners do not throw away the products, but rather pass them along to other parties that may enjoy their benefits. Whether the users sell the products at garage sales or donate them to charitable causes, the messages printed on promotional products may be visible in the public eye long after they leave your main headquarters.
